Sectional Sofas in Massachusetts

How to choose the right sectional

• Know left from right. "Left-arm facing" (LAF) and "right-arm facing" (RAF) describe the side as you face the piece. Mark where the chaise or corner goes on your floor with painter's tape first.
• Measure both runs. Common L-shapes run about 100 to 120 inches on the long side and 75 to 95 inches on the short side. Keep 30 inches of walkway around it.
• Think about delivery. Sectionals ship in pieces, which helps with tight stairways in older Massachusetts homes, but measure the largest piece against your narrowest door.

For small spaces, look at apartment-size or armless modular units. For movie nights, a reclining sectional with power headrests is worth a sit test. Pair it with a coffee table sized about two thirds of the seating length.
